Double Exposure

Double exposures come from exposing the same film frame twice — taking a picture and not winding the film forward. Digital cameras offer similar capabilities, often with the benefit of seeing the first exposure. As with most things, though, the unexpected is more compelling. Change the focus, perspective, timing, or almost any other factor and you are sure to find something new.
